Welcome to the Koppice online store. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of any goods from us. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. About Us

Koppice is a London-based design studio offering thoughtfully made goods for the home, including furniture and small-batch objects. Each piece is crafted with a focus on material quality, craftsmanship, and longevity.

2. Orders

Once you place an order, you will receive a confirmation email. Your order is not binding until payment is received and the item is dispatched. We reserve the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch for reasons including stock availability, pricing errors, or concerns around fraudulent activity.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
We accept secure online payment via all major credit and debit cards. Full payment must be received before dispatch. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.

4. Product Information

We strive for accuracy in all product descriptions and images. However, due to the handmade nature of our products and natural variations in materials (such as wood grain or fabric dye), slight differences may occur. These are not considered faults.

5. Delivery

  • UK orders: Shipped via tracked courier within 2–3 working days for in-stock items.

  • Made-to-order items: Dispatch times vary and are listed on product pages.

  • International shipping: Available; delivery times and costs vary. You are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
    We are not liable for delays caused by shipping providers or customs processes.

6. Returns

If you're not completely satisfied with your order, you may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To return an item:

  1. Email store@koppice.com with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging.

  3. Return postage is at your expense unless the item is faulty.

Excluded from returns:

  • Custom or made-to-order items (unless faulty)

  • Items returned without prior contact

  • Items returned damaged or used

Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the item is received and inspected.

7. Lifetime Guarantee & Limited Warranty

We take pride in the quality and longevity of everything we make. That’s why we offer a lifetime guarantee on the majority of our products, including all Koppice furniture and home goods.

This guarantee covers defects in materials or craftsmanship under normal residential use.

What’s Covered

If your product develops a fault due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will:

  • Repair the item

  • Replace it with the same or similar item (if available)

  • Offer store credit (if the original cannot be replaced or repaired)

This applies to issues such as:

  • Structural failure (e.g. joint separation, cracking due to poor construction)

  • Faulty joinery, stitching, or hardware

  • Material failure (e.g. delamination, splitting unrelated to misuse)

What’s Not Covered

Our guarantee does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. scratches, fading, surface marks)

  • Misuse, neglect, or improper care (e.g. exposure to water or heat)

  • Environmental damage (e.g. warping due to humidity or storage conditions)

  • Cosmetic changes from natural aging (e.g. patina, grain movement)

  • Third-party alterations or unauthorised repairs

  • Commercial or contract use unless agreed in writing

  • Products that have reached the end of their usable life through time and use

Note: Variations in grain, tone, or colour are not considered defects. These are inherent to working with natural materials.

Duration

The guarantee covers the functional lifetime of the product, defined as the period during which it can reasonably be expected to remain structurally sound and fit for its intended purpose under normal residential conditions.

How to Make a Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Email info@koppice.com with:

    • Your name

    • Order number or proof of purchase

    • Description of the issue

    • Clear photographs of the fault

  2. We will assess the claim within 3–5 working days and confirm eligibility.

  3. If approved, you will be responsible for safely shipping the item to us (tracked and insured). We will cover the return cost after repair or replacement.

If your item is no longer covered or falls outside the warranty scope, we’re still happy to assist with repair advice or recommendations.

Sustainability Note

We believe the best way to reduce waste is to keep well-made objects in use. Our guarantee is repair-first by design, prioritising longevity over replacement.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, text, branding, and product designs, is the property of Koppice and may not be reproduced, republished, or distributed without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your privacy matters. We collect only the information needed to process your order and respond to enquiries. We never sell or share your data with third parties. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

Koppice will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website, except as required by UK consumer law. Our liability in any case shall not exceed the total price paid for the item in question.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
